WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil Endorses Steve Cona for School Board, District 1

WWE Superstar and Hillsborough County resident Titus O’Neil today announced the endorsement of Steve Cona for the District 1, Hillsborough County School Board seat.

“I’ve seen firsthand Steve’s commitment to ensuring a better future for our students and families,” said O’Neil. “I truly believe Steve will work hard to make sure our schools are funded, that our teachers and staff have the resources they need, and that our students are on track to graduate. As a proud Tampa Bay resident, I’m supporting Steve for District 1 because I believe we share the same vision and hope for the future for our schools.”

O’Neil is a professional wrestler and entertainer with the WWE, and former University of Florida football player. “Titus, a Lightning Community Hero, has been an advocate for children in Tampa Bay for years,” said Cona. “He knows what is at stake when we cannot provide our students the tools they need to succeed and thrive, and I’m grateful to have his endorsement in our race.”

O’Neil joins a growing list of supporters for the Cona campaign, including Mayor Bob Buckhorn and State Representative James Grant. Cona is the president/CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Florida. He was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to the Hillsborough Community College District Board of Trustees.

Steve has a passion for improving Florida’s skilled labor workforce, while cultivating the lives of hardworking, skilled workers. Cona’s platform for the school board race is to bring fiscal accountability back to the school board, better prepare students for success in college and career, and provide a safe learning environment to support the “whole child.” Cona is also the executive director of the Build Tampa Bay Foundation and serves on the advisory board for Visit Tampa Bay.
